Nursing leaders must be competent in leading people, processes, and organizations in interprofessional practice. This involves working together with other healthcare professionals to achieve similar goals as well as enhance patient outcomes. In nursing leadership, they must possess the skills of communicating effectively, delegating tasks properly and motivating others towards achieving excellence in patient care. An essential skill for effective interprofessional practice is having good communication skills as a leader. Nursing leaders should have the ability to convey information clearly and concisely. Also, they must ensure that every person related to patients including themselves are aware of what is happening all around them will not lead to a situation that will not fail in the long run. Hence; nursing leaders ought to be skilled in active hearing; empathy; conveying intricate issues using simple terminologies. Another aspect of leading in interprofessional practice is appropriateness in task delegation which when wrongly done can lead to misplacement of duties among team members.In NURS-FPX4010 The nurse’s role involves evaluating their team’s abilities by determining their capabilities and weaknesses thus assigning tasks as the need arises. To do this correctly requires an understanding of every member’s role on the team and then selecting tasks based on individual strengths and weakness.
